What is swing in music? Drag the swing fader to delay the off-beats, hear straight hats turn into a shuffle, then rebuild a boom bap groove to master the unit.

What swing does
Swing delays the off-beat eighth notes — the hits halfway between the beats. The on-beat notes stay put, the off-beats arrive late, and the even robot grid turns into a long-short, long-short lilt.
How much to use
A little swing (around 20 to 30) adds pocket and human bounce — most hip hop and house lives here. A lot (60 and up) becomes a full shuffle, the triplet strut of blues and jazz. There is no wrong setting: swing is a flavor knob, so trust your ears.
